Looks like Hyundai dropped the first teasers for the IONIQ concept a bit too soon, and now they have nothing to do while waiting for the official launch date in Korea to arrive. So they decided to tease it again. Here’s a couple of fresh renderings showing Hyundai IONIQ from new angles.
In their defense, Hyundai IONIQ is a remarkable car. It is the company’s first offering with three green powertrains, including full electric, plug-in petrol / electric hybrid, or petrol / electric hybrid units. What’s more, Hyundai promises it offers a fun, engaging and responsive driving experience to match the emotional styling.
Although it’s debatable, Hyundai IONIQ does have a rather unique styling. The Koreans are good at coming up out of nowhere with fresh, interesting designs. The first generation Kia Forte Koup comes to mind, or the Hyundai Veloster. The thing is, these kind of designs also have short lifespans. Not that it matters really, because by the time it goes out of fashion, they will have come up with something else.
Following its launch in Korea later this month, the IONIQ will be shown at the Geneva International Motor Show and the New York Auto Show in March 2016.
