Last night in a special event at the Motor Press Guild, Callaway Cars revealed a new 610 horsepower Chevy Camaro which they call SC610. The new Callaway Camaro is based on the 2016 SS model and features a supercharged engine.
Supercharging is Callaway’s signature dish, and they’ve outdone themselves with the package they’ve prepared for the Callaway Camaro SC610. The GenThree TVS2300 Supercharger they’ve bolted on the 6.2 liter V8 comes with a TripleCooled Intercooler System, Low Restriction, High Recovery Cold Air Intake System, and AeroSurround Extractor. The result is 610 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque.
“The supercharger assembly is not cramped below the hood because we wouldn’t compromise performance or reliability,” said Callaway. “Our design maintains consistent charge air temperatures with exceptionally low restriction. Plus, we achieve even airflow distribution to all cylinders. The result is a broad torque band and more consistent power delivery during extreme driving. Every Callaway Camaro maintains the factory GM warranty and is supplemented by Callaway’s powertrain coverage.”
