It took them a fair few years, but Ford has finally got around giving the Fiesta ST the kind of power it deserves. The new version of the hot hatch is called Ford Fiesta ST200 and there’s clue as to the kind of power it makes. Not that the ST really needed it, but it’s always good to have more horsepower.
The Fiesta ST has always been the underdog in the hot hatch segment, boasting the least amount of power and making up for it by being extra nice to drive. Now, on paper at least, the new and more powerful version should be even better. We just hope the extra power doesn’t corrupt this bad boy. It’s only fifteen extra horses, but still.
With 200 Ps and 290 Nm of torque, Ford Fiesta ST200 is capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds. To ensure optimum handling the car comes with enhanced Torque Vectoring Control and 3-mode Electronic Stability Control, revised steering, unique front and rear spring and damper settings (15mm lower), and uprated brakes.
Also new for Ford Fiesta ST200 is a cool Storm Grey, matte black 17-inch alloy wheels, red painted brake callipers and an enhanced interior with unique partial leather Charcoal Recaro front seats and contrasting silver stitching, alongside illuminated scuff plates and seatbelts with silver detailing.
