Aston Martin DB11 Volante 600x348 at Aston Martin DB11 Volante Rendering Emerges

After giving us an early look at the drop-top version of the new Bugatti Chiron, Designer X-Tomi has now taken the roof off the second hottest car of this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The Aston Martin DB11 Volante shown here is pretty much what the real thing will look like when it arrives next year.

So if you are totally smitten with the DB11 Coupe, and who can blame you, you should hold on a bit and wait for the Volante before placing an order. Traditionally, Cabriolet version of any coupe Aston is a lot sexier, even though the only difference is the lack or a solid roof. Aston Martin DB11 Volante is no exception, although we have to admit this isn’t a particularly brilliant angel you’re looking at here.

Speaking of tradition, another trait we’ve been seeing with open-top Astons this past few years is the convertible is usually not as good to drive as the hardtop. That certainly was the case with the DB9 Volante when it was first launched. That said, it’s not something that actively bugs you unless you are the kind of person who tracks their open-top cruiser. Otherwise, the convertible is a much better choice, mainly because of the looks, but also because it comes with ninety-million miles of sky as standard.
