Lamborghini Newport Beach held a special event last night, welcoming the two latest members of the Huracan family. The event was a party in honor of the new LP 580-2 really, but if we’re honest the one attracting the most attention was a blue Lamborghini Huracan Spyder.
That doesn’t come as surprise since the LP 580-2 looks pretty much identical to normal Huracan, whereas the Spyder is about 110 percent sexier. The drop-top on display at the event looked particularly hot thanks to the paint work and a set of awesome optional wheels.
Before we get to the pictures, let’s quickly go over the technical details of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and 580-2. The Spyder has the same engine and drivetrain as the regular model, meaning a 610 horsepower V10 engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutcher and permanent four-wheel-drive. The 580, on the other hand, is a diet version with 580 horsepower and rear-wheel-drive. This one is pitched as more of a driver’s car, considering how skilled the car naturally is in the art of drifting its back-end.
