Volkswagen announced the pricing of the 2016 Beetle Denim Limited Edition, based on the Convertible 1.8T model. A tribute to the 1970s Jeans Bug and featuring exclusive interior and exterior appointments, the Denim is priced at $25,995 to which you have to add an $820 destination charge.

So what you get for your almost 27 grand apart from the cool name? For starters, you get two exterior color options of Pure White or Stonewashed Blue plus a unique convertible top in Dark Blue with a brand new textured fabric that resembles denim. Inside, there is light-blue-and-silver dashpad and jeans-inspired seat pockets with small Beetle flags in red, in addition to  white piping and dark blue leatherette accents. So yes, the Seventies-ness of the car is really strong.

As for the equipment you get with the VW Beetle Denim, the list begins with a 1.8-liter turbocharged and direct-injection TSI developing 70 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and continues with Volkswagen MIB II infotainment system, 5.0-inch resistive touchscreen, AUX-in, SD card slots, and a USB multimedia interface with iPhone and iPod device connectivity, rearview camera display, and Bluetooth. But the real party piece of this model remains the exterior styling which is refreshingly unique.
