Following the official debut in April, the new Bentley GT Speed family was officially launched at an exclusive event held in New York City. The 2017 model year lineup is pretty rich, including GT Speed, GT Speed Convertible, the GT Speed Black Edition and the GT Speed Convertible Black Edition.
The biggest highlight of the 2017 Bentley GT Speed series is a revised W12 engine which not only makes 642 horsepower and 840 Nm of torque now, it also sounds a lot better than the previous versions. It enables the massive Continental to catapult from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h).
As always, the Speed also comes with exclusive visual features such as revised and sportier bumpers, larger wheels, special paint works and body details, sporty interior featuring Alcantara and carbon fiber trims, and darkened accents. The new version also boasts a ‘Black Edition’ variant which features more visual drama with more black trims, black 21” inch wheels, painted brake calipers, and Mulliner GT interior details.
As for the pricing, the 2017 Bentley GT Speed Coupe starts at $240,300 for the base model and $253,235 for the Black Edition. The Convertible, meanwhile, kicks off at $264,300 for the normal and $277,235 for the Black version.
