The 2016 edition of Goodwood Festival of Speed has been a magnificently rich event for Aston Martin, earning the small manufacturer enough props to hold them till next year. Below we take a look at the best Aston moments of the festival.
The absolute highlight of this year’s Festival of Speed for Aston Martin, without a doubt, was the debut of the one-off Vantage GT12 Roadster. This lightly modified version of an existing model got some much attention, it sort of obscured Aston’s brand-new model, the DB11. That said, the V12 Grand Tourer did gets its fair share of action with static displays and a lap of the Goodwood hill. Mind you, the hill part was completely dominated by the presence of the £2 million Vulcan track car which turned up wearing a hot red dress.
Aston Martin’s lineup at this year’s GFoS also included the current range of production models, namely the Vantage GT8, and some of their most cherished classic and racing car such as the DB9R Le Mans racer seen above.
