What like about car designer Jon Sibal is that even his doodlings usually end up depicting something too awesome to be taken for granted. One of his latests is this Porsche Safari RWB monster off-roader and it is extremely cool.
Sibal is, of course, a bit of an RWB aficionado and with this Porsche Safari RWB he clearly wanted to take his love of wide-bodied 993s off the road. And judging by the specs he’s given the thing, he wanted to go really far. The Monster RWB is jacked up on the sort of suspension we’re not even sure can be fitted to this 911 and equipped with massive off-road wheels. The body, crucially, remains as its sexy Rauh Welt Begriff self.
Now, this crazy Porsche Safari RWB might be the result of an eccentric man’s day dreaming, but there is some method to its madness. The first thing every Porsche aficionado thinks about when he sees this is the 959 and Group B rallying. There are some genes in Porsche’s DNA that makes them go wild every once in a while and hit the dirt, so to speak. That still doesn’t mean we’re going to see this car in the real world, but you know, philosophically there is nothing wrong with it!
