Silverstone Auctions is set to put under the hammer a unique example of the 1973 Citroen DS Super 5 at their Salon Prive auction on 3rd September. This car is quite possibly the coolest and most sought after French car in history, which is why it is not at all surprising that they’ve estimated at £75,000 to £90,000.

Loved unanimously by everybody in the car world due to its futuristic look which still amazing today, remarkable technology for its time, and general quirkiness, Citroen DS is a classic car you can drive and enjoy everyday is you keep it regularly maintained and properly serviced. The car has a rather tricky hydraulic system which could be troublesome at times, but when it’s working fine the DS is an absolute delight to drive.
