Over the years there have been many different Kahn Design Defender models in all guises including 90 and 110, pickup, one with a long bonnet and a V8, and even a six-wheeled version. But we reckon we have found the sweet spot, the best of the lot, with this Santorini Black 90 here.

This particular Kahn Design Defender 90 was specially prepared for the London Motor Show as a one-off and it bears a plaque testifying to that. The car is now sold for a whopping £79,995, but it still serves as a good example for other Landie owners on how they should go about upgrading their iconic SUV. This model features all the right mods and the coolest color one can have on the Defender, and if the cost is an issue you can always do away with some of the fancy interior details. Those are useless garnish anyway.

The mods you want on your Kahn Design Defender 90 include that paint work, the 20″ Mondial wheels in Volcanic Black, twin cross-hair exhaust system and hard-wearing mud flaps, Satin Black sump guard, Tron lights, X-Lander grille, front and rear Satin Black wide wing, front GTB and rear folding seat, Churchill time clock, billet and leather steering wheel, 4 speed auto gear box and vented machined aluminium foot pedals. Stuff you can do without include the Hield fabric accents, hand trimmed centre glove box, passenger dashboard, top handles, door panels, instrument binnacle, front door cards, and fancy instrument binnacle.
