Toyo Tires has just dropped a trailer for a new gig they have come up with to keep Ken Block busy. It’s called Climbkhana and in it Kenny from the Block tackles the fearsome Pikes Peak route in his new and thoroughly upgraded 1,400 horsepower 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2.

As you would expect, and the trailer shows, Ken Block is going to be climbing the peak mostly sideways, which is both good and bad. It’s good because it makes excellent internet video entertainment, and it’s bad because if he were to go in a straight line with that methanol-powered, twin-turbo Hoonicorn of his he could have set an all-time Pikes Peak record.

Ken Block Climbkhana is going to be in the making for a long time, with the earliest release date set for Summer 2017.
