New Porsche 911 RSR Caught Testing at Sebring

991 RSR testing 600x342 at New Porsche 911 RSR Caught Testing at Sebring

We have always loved the racing versions of Porsche 911 not because of the way they perform – although they are always among the top dogs in their categories – but because of the way they look. I mean just look at this new Porsche 911 RSR recently filmed at Sebring during a testing session. Why can’t their road cars look like this?

Those wide hips, the tall spoiler, the awesome diffuser and the massively flared arches that house super fat tires all make the Porsche 911 RSR a complete joy to look at. We do realize these features aren’t really practical for a road car, but surely tuners can draw some inspiration from it.

Oh, and in case you care, this 991-based RSR is preparing for the 2017 season where it will, in different guises, take part in WEC GTE and IMSA GTLM series in Europe and America. We will bring you the official specs and details when Porsche announces them.
