The promo video for the new LaFerrari Aperta we told you about a while back is now edited and released, and it promotes a car that’s already sold out. So yes, it is kind of hard to see the point of going to all the trouble of making this short film. But hey, what it does is provide us with some cool shots of the gorgeous car, although the same cannot be said of the clip’s star, F1 wonderboy Sebastian Vettel.

If you missed out on buying a LaFerrari Aperta from the factory when it was up for grabs, do not despair. Soon many of those who have bought the car are going to put them on sale through private dealers. Granted, you are going to have to pay a whole lot more, but what’s another million or two to someone who could pay the first couple of millions?

The highlights of LaFerrari Aperta include a carbon-fibre hard top and a soft top in place of the solid roof of the regular model. Apart from that the super car is a normal LaFezza with a 800 hp V12 ICE (with a specific power output of 128 cv/l) engine coupled with a 120 kW electric motor (163 hp), dishing out a total output of 963 horsepower. Whether or not it is as fast as the hardtop version around a race track will remain to be seen, but it is being produced in much fewer numbers to maintain exclusivity.
