After a couple of intriguing teasers, Techart is now ready to show us the new Porsche 991-based GTstreet R in all its official glory. Built on the basis of 991 Turbo and Turbo S, the 2017 Techart GTstreet R is one of the most extreme tuned 911s you will find anywhere in the world.

Let’s start with the massive carbon fiber body kit which gives the Techart GTstreet R its iconic and instantly recognizable look. Inspired by the previous model, new boy gets a carefuly designed front apron incorporating an active front spoiler lip optimizes the airflow onto the water- and oil coolers with additional air intakes with a central part that improves the aero properties of the nose cone. Then we have the laterally positioned flaps which increase the downforce and reduce the drag coefficient, and a lightweight carbon front lid.

The wheel arches and their new air vents are also made from carbon, letting out the heat of the brakes and the pressure created by the spinning wheels, complementing a pair of carbon side skirts with rear side air intake also clad in carbon. The rear apron of Techart GTstreet R 991 is as special as the front, featuring a trim panel made of visible carbon fiber, a diffuser insert with integrated four central carbon fiber tailpipes connected to a sport exhaust system, and three-dimensional taillights. An active GTstreet R rear wing and, in the case of this show car, a ridiculous paint job with stripes are among the other highlights.

As for the power and performance, the GTstreet R can be ordered with Techart’s 991 Turbo power kits with either 640 hp or a full 720 hp. In each case the tuner’s performance exhaust system featuring variable pneumatic valve control ensuring a sonorous soundtrack, while their 20” Formula IV Race centerlock or 21” Formula IV wheels and VarioPlus coilover suspension with PDDC connectivity and NoseLift keeps the car in check at high speed.

The exclusive interior package for the Techart GTsteet R features highlights such as Clubsport Alcantara package with color-matched roll bar, 6 point harnesses and door opening loops, dashboard, center console, roof liner, sun visors and door pillars covered in leather or Alcantara, contrast stitching, custom-painted steering wheel, the air vents, the air vent adjusters, the PDK gear selector, the gear lever surround and the seat adjustment, and a whole bunch of carbon fiber trim pieces.
