Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Edition

Aston Martin often uses good excuses to slap a ‘special edition’ badge on one of their older models in order make some extra money. The latest excuse they have used is the the start of 2017 FIA Formula 1 World Championship next month and they are celebrating it with Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition models.

Aston’s connection with Red Bull, of course, goes deeper than the occasional flirting that would spawn such special editions. After all, they have made a hyper car together. But you can’t help thinking for a car bearing the name of a F1 team the Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Edition could have been a little more, well, special.

As it is, Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Edition comes with RB inspired paint jobs including Mariana Blue and Tungsten Silver,  race-inspired carbon fibre splitter, diffuser, grille and side strakes, some yellow accents, Red Bull Racing headrest embroidery, carbon fibre trim inlays, diamond-quilting and an alcantara steering wheel complete with 12 o’clock accent stripe, and that’s about it.

As an optional extra, customers may opt for their sill and final inspection plaques to be signed by either Daniel Ricciardo or Max Verstappen. Now, you may now who they are because you are an F1 fan, but this is the kind of feature you have to explain to people in order to get your money’s worth out of, and how uncool is that?
