Entering the SUV market with the F-Pace was a wake-up call for Jaguar in the sense that they realized they’ve been missing on a hugely lucrative opportunity. So they scrambled and made another SUV in a short period of time, and here it is now in official glory, the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace.

The E-Pace, as those of you with who know your alphabet have already guessed, is smaller than the F-Pace. It is really Jaguar’s ticket to the compact SUV market, but dynamically and technology-wise the British crossover is way above the standards of its class. 2018 Jaguar E-Pace benefits from a mind-boggling level of technology features and it boasts sports car-inspired design and build.

You get lightweight suspension architecture, all-wheel drive, available Active Driveline and torque vectoring by braking systems, all of which is designed to make the SUV drive better. And there is even something called Configurable Dynamics technology which allows customers to personalize throttle, steering and transmission settings. Engine-wise, the E-Pace launches with two four-cylinder Ingenium gasoline engine options producing 246HP and 296HP, each mated to a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission. European versions get a coupe of diesels unis as well, plus a 300HP version of the Ingenium motor.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace is also as connected as a smartphone. The cool and sporty interior features large 12.3-inch full color TFT driver display and Head-Up Display systems, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system featuring 10-inch touchscreen that connects customers to smartphone applications via InControl Apps function, and optional 4G WiFi hotspot. Prices for the E-Pace start from 28,000 GBP or 38,000 USD and it’s available to order right now.
