McLaren P1 GTR Makes European Debut in France

McLaren P1 GTR 0 600x335 at McLaren P1 GTR Makes European Debut in France

Following its world debut at the Pebble Beach concourse last month, the incredible McLaren P1 GTR is now back in Europe and all set for its regional debut, not in the UK, but France. The inaugural Chantilly Arts & Elegance in Domaine de Chantilly is venue chosen for the GTR to show itself along with a bespoke MSO version of the 650S.

The breathtaking McLaren P1 GTR is a racing version of the road-going P1, but it doesn’t qualify for any of the official racing series. What it is, really, is a track toy for people who already own a P1, and are so happy with it, they wouldn’t mind spending another 2 million GBP buying a slightly lighter, slightly more powerful version that they can drive three or four times a year on a race track chosen for them by McLaren!

Besides boasting more aggressive aerodynamics than the road-going P1, the GTR is also lighter, features racing suspension and slick tires, and its hybrid powertrain makes over 1,000 PS.

The GTR will be accompanied at Chantilly with an all-white (Pearl White metallic) MSO 650 ordered by McLaren retailer in Paris. The car features a black interior, back wheels and a more aggressive rear diffuser than normal models.
