What used to be Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur is now Apollo Automobil and it has a bright view of the future where they can continue making overpowered super cars. Apollo Arrow is one of their new offerings unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show with a 1,000 horsepower engine.

With the Apollo Arrow the new manufacturer has addressed the biggest issue that caused Gumpert’s demise, and that was the terrible looks of the cars they made. The Arrow, you’ll agree, looks absolutely brilliant, if a bit too generic. I mean, this is what springs to mind when an Average Joe think of a supercar.

Still, it’s a good look Apollo Arrow features, what with all those sexy panels and air vents and aero parts. The two-seater has a Chromemolybdenum steel tube frame (powder coated) and integrated carbon/kevlar safety cell with Carbon car bodyshell, carbon / aluminium sandwich underbody and gullwing doors. The aero package is complemented with automatic ride-height control system for perfect aerodynamic efficiency.

In terms of performance, Apollo Arrow gets a 4.0l Twin-Turbo V8 engine with a projected 1,000 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, delivered to the ground via a sequential 7-gear CIMA transmission and Torsen differential. Under ideal circumstances, that power propels the Arrow from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 360 km/h.
