Tokyo Motor Show is all about concept cars. We have featured many of them today, but it want to pick our favorite, it’s this car because it’s funny!
Suzuki Regina is designed with characteristics of a global compact car. But it’s designed is not likely to appeal to all people. It looks like a bad copy of the original Citroen DS. That steering wheel is another example of being inspired by the DS. But it’s kinda cute.
The car is powered by a an 800cc turbocharged petrol engine with a CVT gearbox to drive the front wheels. The car utilizes all kind of fuel saving technologies including regenerative braking and a stop/start system.
Combined that with a lightweight of 730 kg, and you end up with average fuel consumption of just 3.76 liters/100 km.
If Suzuki dials down the lunacy in the design of the car, and give it an interior that is not checkered green, the Regina is a brilliant city car with lots of best-in-class features.
