Mazda is preparing a new upgraded version of its 6-series for this year’s Geneva Motor Show promising that it will be improved in every aspects. New Mazda6 features a slight facelift on the outside which makes it even more similar to its little brother, the 3. Mazda says it’s designed for sportiness and a clearer premium identity.
2011 Mazda6 will be available with six different engines for you to choose from. As for the petrol units you get the upgraded versions of last year’s 1.8 and 2.5 MZR engines plus a new 2.0 liter featuring DISI technology which is said to reduce fuel consumption. It’s mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox.
There is only one diesel engine available but it comes with three power derivatives – from 129 to 180 PS, all of them optimized for better economy and responsiveness.
Along with re-adjusted chassis and suspension settings, the new MAzda6 also gets new driving aids such as pivoting adaptive front lighting system and hill-launch assist, which not only make the driving easier but also contribute to safety measures.
Sales of the 2011 MAzda6 Facelift will start from Spring in Europe.
