The first pictures of the Mazda Minagi crossover found their way to the Internet today, revealing Mazda’s new concept model for the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The Mazda Minagi is obviously a compact SUV in the same class as the new Kia Sportage, and it’s expected to be the replacement for the current Mazda CX-5.
No details is currently available on the car, but it’s design is clearly based on the firm’s new design language which has let go of a the stupid smiley face that exist in the current CX05 and reach its peak at the current Mazda3! This one looks more elegant and discrete. The powertrain for the concept model will probably be a hybrid of some sort. The production version would eventually get a hybrid version as well.
