While we’re still waiting to get a closer look at the new generation Toyota Yaris – or Vitz in some markets – news emerges that the Japanese manufacturer will unveil a hybrid variant of the small hatchback at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, along with the Prius Hybrid family.

The Yaris Hybrid, by the looks of things, features a distinctive look in the same line as the rest of Toyota HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive) cars. Toyota is really kicking the production of hybrid models into high gear with the Prius plug-in, the seven seater MPV Prius V, this Yaris Hybrid and a new hybrid city car which will based on the concept C revealed at Detroit show a few weeks ago.

Currently there’s no technical details available on the Toyota Yaris Hybrid, but since it’s set to rival Honda Jazz Hybrid they should be close!
