In its biggest-ever integrated advertising campaign, Hyundai launches a free iPhone and Android app for the new i40.

The app utilizes image recognition technology from Aurasma to provide the users with with the opportunity to experience the new i40 instantly through video content embedded in selected print and poster advertisements.

You just download the app, follow its instruction, and then when you point the phone on the pictures of the i40 it’ll open video content where consumers can explore the features of the car, order a brochure or book a test drive. Sounds like a bit of a faff, but cool!

The i40 actually has such amazing specs, that it really needs no advertising. It offers CO2 emissions from 113 g/km and class-leading fuel economy from 65.7mpg, and it has a starting price of just £18,395, which is brilliant for something this good-looking and feature-rich.

Andrew Cullis, Marketing Director, Hyundai Motor UK explains: “The i40 Tourer has already created a stir within the market place by providing a stylish, technologically advanced and value for money new alternative in the medium family estate car sector – dominated by more established manufacturers.  We have created a campaign that really showcases our brand philosophy of ‘New Thinking. New Possibilities’. Our fully integrated campaign ensures that every consumer touch point conveys the right message to the right people.  And we’ve innovated by using cutting edge mobile technology to bring the print and poster campaign to life.”
