Reports from Japan suggest Lexus has cancelled plans for a roadster version of the LFA, and is instead working on a super LFA called the Tokyo Edition.
Mind you, this super LFA is not going to be much different than the standard car. After all, it’s not easy improving on perfection. The Tokyo LFA will probably get a treatment like the Nurburgring package, which adds a few performance parts, and some extra bells and whistles.
The car will also feature exposed carbon fiber for the roof and the rear spoiler for a more dramatic and racy style.
In other Toyota news, the company is said to be working on a replacement for the old Supra. This is going to be a high-performance rear-wheel-drive coupe, but has nothing to do with the FT-86. So, maybe that’s why they are adamant the FT should not get more than 200-250 hp. They don’t want it to be faster than the next Supra!
