A lucky British customer is the first in Europe to take delivery of a Lexus LFA with Nurburgring Package, of which only 50 units will be sold. The Nurburgring Package for the LFA might sound like a marketing trick by Lexus to add a few extras to an already overpriced car, and ask for more money. But it is actually an homage to the car’s roots. It was developed at the ‘Ring, and comes back each year for the 24-hour race.

The track-focused Lexus LFA supercar with a Nürburgring Package comes with a carbon fiber front spoiler, a big rear wing, mesh-type wheels with dedicated, high-grip tyres, and 10 more horsepower from the 4.8 liter V10 engine. It now makes 562 bhp, and that takes the car from 0 to 62mph in 3.7 seconds. Flat out it’ll be doing 202mh.

The LFA Nurburgring Edition is a fantastically fun car to drive, but Mr. customer must be careful with it. After all, this car has already killed a Toyota engineer on the ‘Ring. If you are not in a hurry to get an LFA, you better wait for the Lexus LFA II which is said to have around 1000 hp, and a million dollar price tag.
