The guys behind the Ariel Atom – the super awesome British sports car – have collaborated with Motion Simulation to create this thing you see above. It’s a complete driving simulator with  the world’s first portable 180 degree, spherical projector screen and variable driving position cockpit. So yes, it’s more that just a toy. The TL1 is a flight, driving and first-person-shooter Simulator.

Priced at £11,500 it certainly isn’t cheap. But it’s much cheaper than buying the Actual Atom, and it gives you access to more cars and more tracks, and it won’t cost you a dime if you crash. But, it must be said, racing on a simulator in your living room is kinda like phone sex; fun, but not quite the same as the real thing!

Here’s a demo of the system:

Compatible with PC and games consoles, including PS3 and Xbox 360, the TL1 is available in various configurations and colours, from Cockpit only (TL1c) to a full plug-and-play TL1 unit, including body, screen, cockpit, PC, projectors, professional controls and software. Options enable the customer to specify the TL1 to their own particular use and requirements.
