Jay Leno’s Fiat 500 Raises $385,000 For Charity

Leno 5001 at Jay Lenos Fiat 500 Raises $385,000 For Charity

As promised Jay Leno auctioned off his Fiat 500 Prima Edizione chassis number 2 – Fiat boss got the first one – at Gooding and Co. Pebble Beach auction with all the proceeds going to Fisher House Foundation, providing housing for wounded veterans. Now, as far as celebrity endorsements go, Jay Leno’s is a big one. Which is why the car sold for an astonishing $385,000.

What’s remarkable is that the auction house had valued the car $35,000 tops. But Jay’s presence at the event, along with some high profile guests including Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, and Army Chief of Staff Ray Odiero, heated up the event resulting in this amazing record.

Jay Leno is an awesome human being. He always brings good times to people. Oh, and don’t worry about him having no Fiat 500. He recently drove an Abarth 500 and loved it. So he’ll probably get one of those.
