Peugeot is on fire today, unveiling a bunch of new concept cars back to back. Earlier today we showed the new Peugeot RCZ Facelift and told you about Peugeot’s promise to launch a hot RCZ R version. This is the concept version of that car, set for debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Quite a looker, isn’t it.

Sadly the RCZ R is not supposed to go into production until the end of 2013, and many things can change until then. But the Paris-bound concept car features a 260 horsepower 1.6 liter THP turbo engine. That will probably remain unchanged in the production car.

The R-version will also be more dynamic than normal RCZ, featuring sport-tuned chassis and suspension, high performance brakes, bigger wheels, and a Torsen limited slip differential.

Visually, the RCZ R concept features a matt black and copper livery inspired by Peugeot Onyx Concept, another fabulous new model the French car maker is bringing to Paris. This being a special edition, one would imagine the interior is also upgraded, probably with lots of leather and carbon fibre.

Peugeot RCZ R is almost perfect in every sense. We wouldn’t change a single thing. Actually, we would change the launch date, to the end of 2012 instead of 2013.
