Almost all new cars these days have an online configurator that allows potential customers to configure their ideal version of the car from the comfort of their home. Now Mazda takes it to the next level by releasing a smartphone application for the job, so you can do the customization on the move.

The app is currently only available for the new Mazda6, but rest assured they will include other models in the future. It offers the normal features of such apps, such as high-resolution 360-degree exterior and interior views, and technical details and specs of the car.

But the highlight of it is a showroom feature that enables customers to choose their favourite all-new Mazda6 exterior colour, alloy wheel designs and interior upholstery on both the Saloon and Tourer bodystyles. The thing is, once you are done customizing the car and bought it, the app becomes useless and you can delete it.
