As you may know, GM Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson is going to auction off his most prized possession, a 1958 Corvette, at Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, and donate all the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity Detroit. It is way more than a nice gesture by Mr. Akerson. This car means a lot to him, as he explains in the video after the jump, and the fact that he’s selling this particular car for Detroit is very cool indeed.
