Jaguar XFR-S Confirmed For L.A. Debut

jaguar xfr s teaser at Jaguar XFR S Confirmed For L.A. Debut

At the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show Jaguar will take the wraps off a new, ultra-high performance version of its XFR super saloon. Called, the XFR-S, it will almost certainly get the same 550PS and 680Nm of torque V8 as the XKR-S, so it’ll be plenty fast.

It was almost a given that Jaguar come up with a sharper, faster, more focused XFR, since the normal car didn’t seem able to cut it anymore in the league of high performance saloons like the F10 M5 and Panamera Turbo.

Based on the teaser picture they released, the XFR-S also comes with a cool new body kit and some carbon fiber garnish.

Also making their American debut at the Los Angeles event are the 2013 Range Rover, and the Jaguar F-Type sports car. The new bigger but lighter Range Rover will launch in the U.S. with the naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 engine. The F-Type will go on sale in early summer 2013 boasting a supercharged V6 or a supercharged V8.
