Porsche Cayman S at New Porsche Cayman Set For Los Angeles Debut

Porsche confirmed debut of a new “compact sports car” at the next Los Angeles Auto show. They haven’t officially said it’s the new Cayman, but it almost certainly is. For one thing, it is about time to release the Cayman, what with the Boxster 981 being around for a few months.

Plus, we would know if Porsche had a new car in the pipeline other than the 2013 Cay. They are not making a big fuss about this, maybe because there isn’t much to make a fuss about. After all, the Cayman is a just Boxster with a solid roof. It will still be a helluva car, of course, but if you are getting a sports car, might as well make it a roadster.

Along with the new Cayman, or whatever it is, the new Porsche 911 Carrera 4 will be making its debut at the L.A. show on November 28. It will be hard to spot the car and tell it apart from the normal 991, but if you look at the back you notice the C4 has a strip of LEDs between the taillights. The rear section is also wider than normal models.
