The new generation Fiat 500 achieves a very significant production milestone, as the one millionth unit rolls off the production line at Fiat Auto Poland production facility. The iconic Cinquecento returned form the dead in 2007, bringing back the same sexy small car profile that made the first generation a hit. It was an instant hit.
Today the car is sold in more than 100 countries around the world – from Italy to Brazil, South Africa to Japan, and the United States to the Middle East, and besides Europe it is also produced in Mexico. Fiat 500′s success story will continue at an even faster pace once the car, and its different variations, get their feet grounded in the U.S.
The 500 is a small car, but it has a collection of big numbers to boast. Apart from that big produciton number, it has more than 500,000 possible combinations of exterior colors, interiors, engines, equipment and accessories. The 1,000,000th milestone car is a Lounge model finished in Bianco Perla (white pearl) exterior paint.
The car also has a wide range of models, from the two-cylinder Twin-Air, to the Abarth 695, and from next year an all-electric version called the 500e.
