Peugeot 208 GTi UK Price Confirmed

Peugeot officially announced the UK pricing of 2014 208 GTi, and if cut to the chase, the new French hot hatch starts at £18,895. Considering the performance you get with the GTi, that price actually sounds like good value.

Coming from a family of fine hot hatchbacks, the new 208 GTi boasts a 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine 147kW (200bhp) and 275 Nm of torque. That gives the 1,1160 kg car a 0 to 62 mph time of under 7 seconds.

The GTi has all the ingredients of a fun-loving hatchback. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, it has a fully disengageable traction control, sport suspension, widened track by 10mm at the front and 20mm at the rear, 17″ diamond Carbon wheels, and 205 wheels.

It is just the looks of this car that has caused a lot of controversy ever since it was revealed. If you can live with that, Peugeot 208 GTi is a cracking little car.
