At the Geneva Motor Show Honda announced the launch of a new low-emission version of the CR-V SUV. To be built in Honda’s Swindon factory, this model will go on sale in the UK from Autumn 2013, boasting a 1.6 i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel engine.
This diesel unit, which is the lightest in its class, is good for 120PS and 300NM of torque, but the best number about it is the CO2 emission, which is 119 g/km. That result in low running costs including an annual road tax bill of only £30 for CR-V customers.
This CR-V will only be available with two-wheel-drive and manual gearbox, but the rest of it is identical to the rest of the range. You get 1648 liters of luggage capacity, easy fold-down 60/40 split rear seats and all the other luxury amenity the SUV is blessed with.
Prices will be announced closer to launch date.
