Porsche has been very clever with their new 918 hypercar. The work is done and the car is ready to roll, but they are holding back, studying the recently-revealed rivals – McLaren P1 and LaFerrari – and fine-tuning the 918 to make sure it will hit those two where it hurts most – where they are not perfect. A Martini-liveried Porsche 918 Spyder has recently been filmed out and about in Milan, looking smug!

Check out the car in the video below:

The 918 is also a hybrid hyper car. The system in the Porsche consists of a race-bred V8 out of the RS Spyder prototype race car, joined by no less than three electric motors. Initial power figure is about 780 horsepower, but we reckon now that the P1 and LaFerrari took it to up to 900 horses, Porsche is going to boost that a little bit. Can’t wait to see these three giants slug it out on the race track.
