Hyper cars are all about record numbers. And this particular hyper car here is a meeting point for some astonishing numbers. The Icona Vulcano V12 Hybrid – the winner of the World’s Most Beautiful Concept Car competition in Paris – has 950 horsepower, and costs, as it stands, €3 Million.

Mind you, it is a one-off for now and that is why it costs so much. The reason we brought it up is because the Vulcano is coming to this year’s Salon Prive show. You will have a chance to get up close and personal with this glamorous car and learn more about its sophisticated technology.

The two-door luxury coupe features a V12 petrol engine coupled with an electric motor to make a staggering 950 horsepower. It goes from 0 120 km/h in 9 seconds, and if you keep your foot in it, it’ll go past 350 km/h. And of course, there’s those magnificent looks.

The thing about the new hyper cars by Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren is that while they are all technically brilliant, they really aren’t beautiful objects to look at. That’s a bit of a bummer, when you consider the mahoosive price tag of those cars.

On the other hand, while the Vulcano is certainly beautiful, we are not sure if they have done all the technical bits right. I mean those big car makers have spent million of dollars developing their cars over a long period of time, and they are still not completely sure they work. The Vulcano came out of nowhere packing 950 hp! The car is engineered by world famous former Scuderia Ferrari technical director Claudio Lombardi, which is a bit heartwarming, but still…
