Our first look at the mysterious McLaren P1 GTR comes from an email sent by the company to all P1 owners. In it they had attached an official rendering of the upcoming track-only hyper car, showing its awesome rear end.
Since McLaren P1 GTR does not have to comply with any rules and regulations, the engineers were evidently allowed to let their minds roam free. So they went nuts and created something truly astonishing. It is amazing what can be achieved when there are no rules to play with!
As you can see in the rendering, McLaren P1 GTR features an enormous rear wing, two huge tailpipes sticking out the back like a double barrel shotgun, and an enormous diffuser. On the sides, the aero bits are visibly more prominent than on the standard P1, and one would imagine the front splitter is now bigger as well.
As we know from official announcements, McLaren P1 GTR will have a limited production run which starts when all 375 road-going P1s are delivered; it will have close to a 1,000 horsepower, and it will cost a whopping 1.98 million GBP (approx. 3.3 million USD).
