Forbidden Fruit: Jaguar F-Type 4-Door

Jaguar F Type 4 Door 600x282 at Forbidden Fruit: Jaguar F Type 4 Door

Jaguar has a lot of good plans for the F-Type, but they don’t include launching a four-door version; at least not in the near future. But maybe they should seriously consider this concept. This rendering proves the car would certainly look hot enough to be at least studied.

Based on the new R Coupe version, this Jaguar F-Type 4-Door, or four-door coupe to be more precise, is a more practical version of the British sports car with small doors and, persumably, two small seats at the back. What’s amazing is that the F-Type has lost none of its charm in the process of getting elongated. Sure the rear windows are a bit too small, but that’s a small price to pay for the overall result achieved here.

Chances of production for this imaginary Jaguar F-Type 4-Door are close to zero, mainly because of the XE. That is Jaguar’s new sports saloon, a BMW 3-Series rival, which has been in the works for a long time. A 4-Door F-Type would drive almost all of that car’s customers away from it with its sexy looks and powerful V6 and V8 engines. It can also become a deadly rival to the Mercedes CLS, BMW 6er Gran Coupe, and Audi A7.
