Once again Wheels Boutique and HRE Wheels bring you an extraordinary creation, this time with added rarity and prestige. Their latest project is a Porsche 991 GT3 fitted with a set of brushed gold wheels, resulting in an utterly unique look for the high-performance sports car.

Porsche 991 GT3 would be the last car you’d think of that can benefit from gold wheels. The design and character of the car makes sober colors more suitable for it. But WB decided now that they are doing it, they should do it right.

So they picked HRE’s P106 model whose design works pretty well with the 991 and even stayed loyal to the stock setup with center lock feature and original GT3 center caps. As for the finish, while Brushed Gold is controversial, to say the least, we have to say it does look quite good to us; and we don’t like gold wheels at all!

Porsche 991 GT3 did not have a particularly easy birth. We should have heard a lot more about it by now, but a few weeks after its launch the GT3 proved to be a fire hazard, resulting in a worldwide recall, which in turn resulted in a complete engine swap. The car is still recovering from that blow.
