Seen Better Days: Abandoned Porsche Carrera GT in Canada

Back when they were new Porsche Carrera GT and Ferrari Enzo were archrivals that never missed a chance to prove they are superior. Turns out that rivalry is still alive and well, and it goes beyond performance. You may remember a few months ago we showed you a black Ferrari Enzo abandoned in China. Well, here’s an abandoned Porsche Carrera GT in the same exact same color!

The abandoned Porsche Carrera GT is in Canada, where it’s been – according to the fella who filmed it – sitting for over year gathering Canadian dust. It is in desperate need of a good polish… and an owner. It is not clear what will become of this car if the owner never shows up, but even in this sorry state that CGT keeps appreciating in value each year.

The reason for that is the rarity of Porsche Carrera GT, of which only 1,270 units were built, and the fact that it was one of the first properly modern supercars. It is also extremely beautiful and has a V10 engine which traces its roots to Le Mans racing. It is a jewel of a car, the Carrera GT, and seeing one just left for dead like this is very sad indeed.
