Evanta Barchetta 600x337 at Evanta Barchetta Previewed, Debuts at Goodwood Revival

The first outcome of tuning house Kahn Design’s partnership with Evanta Motor Company, called Evanta Barchetta is now ready and will make its public debut at the Goodwood Revival motor show this week. This is the car with which Kahn takes the leap from the tuning business to the prestigious coachbuildig industry, and judging by what what we’re seeing here, they’ve got it licked!

Evanta Barchetta 6.2L is a 2-seater open top speedster inspired by 1950’s racing cars. True to the traditions of British coachbuilding, each Barchetta will be hand-made by only a handful of craftsmen using traditional building methods. But that doesn’t mean the technology is outdated.

Far from it actually, the Barchetta features a composite kevlar body on a tubular frame, and a powerful 450 horsepower 6.2 liter V8 engine. You can also order it with an aluminum body if you like. The company will produce both left- and right-hand drive variants, and the Barchetta will be available with either an automatic or manual gearbox.

The production of Evanta Barchetta will be limited to 99 composite bodied vehicles and 49 aluminium bodied vehicles, with prices starting from £125,000 and £165,000 respectively. the company’s next project is a GT concept car scheduled for spring 2015.
