The very first production unit of 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat (VIN0001) has just been auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas for a mind-boggling $825,000 USD. As promised, Chrysler will give all the proceeds from the sale of the first Hellcat to Opportunity Village, a Vegas-based organization that helps adults with disabilities.

The sizable donation raised for the charity is another feather in the Hellcat’s cap, which frankly is starting to look like a major plumage! This car is all about big numbers. It has 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque generated by a massive V8 engine, resulting in blistering supercar-bashing performance unmatched by any other vehicle in the muscle car category.

Chrysler takes great pride in the fact that they can offer Dodge Challenger Hellcat with all that power and swagger for the really small sum of $60,000 MSRP. Now that VIN001 went for 825 grand, they might be rethinking their pricing strategy. Clearly people are willing to spend some big bucks on this bad boy!
