No motor show is complete without at least one Toyota concept car, and so here’s one they’ve come up with for the 2014 Paris Motor Show. It is called the Toyota C-HR Concept and it is a compact crossover, because this segment is still the hottest in the industry.

Toyota C-HR Concept rocks “an expressive new design approach” inspired by a diamond theme, evident in the faceted surfaces of the lower part of the body which resemble the precision cutting of a gemstone. The top half of the body has a more a flowing and more curvatious design for the sake of the passenger compartment.

Other highlights of Toyota C-HR Concept design include muscular wheel arches and angular rear shoulders, a distinctly futuristic front-end and an aero-inspired floating rear lamp clusters. The whole thing kind of reminds us of Renault concepts, but hey, all cars in this segment look pretty much the same.

There are not words yet on the C-HR’s technical details, or whether or not it has any chance of production. To find out more about this interesting little concept we are going to have to wait for the big event in Paris.
