McLaren Special Operations released the preview pictures of a super special gulf-liveried McLaren P1 they have readied for a prominent British businessman. Miles Nadal’s retro-looking P1 is inspired by the racing colors of the legendary McLaren F1 GTR.

Most of you are probably familiar with the Gulf colors, but for those who aren’t, this livery was first introduced by Gulf Oil to set apart and make more visible the cars they sponsored in various motorsport events. The baby blue/orange combo quickly became a favorite of connoisseurs, not the least because of the success of iconic racing cars such as Ford GT and McLaren F1 GTR boasting the livery.

Mr. Nadal’s gulf-liveried McLaren P1 features the baby blue on all its body panels except for the roof, door panels and aprons, which remain naked carbon fiber, and makes use of orange not only as a large stripes that covers the length of the car, but also for accenting on stuff like the rear spoiler and brake calipers. Inside, the Gulf colors are used tastefully to garnish some of the knobs and buttons.

Mechanically, this one of a kind P1 is identical to the “normal” models, meaning it has a 916 PS hybrid powertrain and a huge turn of speed.
