We were all waiting for the next McLaren Sports Series teaser to drop and show us more of the new baby Mac. But the before that the British company has something else they want to get out, and it’s a hard-core version of the 650S, called the McLaren 675 LT.

Set for debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the LT in McLaren 675 LT apparently stands for “Long Tail”, an homage to the Long Tail F1 GTR of the yesteryear. McLaren has been reminiscing a lot about that car recently, as seen with this 650S Le Mans special edition.

As the name suggests, McLaren 675 LT will have a tricked-out version of the existing 3.8 liter bi-turbo V8 with 675 horsepower. It will also be considerably lighter, and evidently looks substantially different as well, hence the camouflage. The car is designed to slot between the road-going 650S and the 650 Sprint track car, offering a sort of 458 Speciale rival.
