Infiniti continues the slow reveal of their new Q30 crossover with a second teaser image showing a bit more of the car. Set for public debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Infiniti QX30 Concept previews a production model of the same name.
This is our first proper look at the Infiniti QX30, and we have to say the car looks pretty impressive for a crossover. Then again, it is not an ordinary crossover. The Q30 will have to take on the likes of Range Rover Evoque, so it needs to be strikingly good-looking.
Mind you, some of the design elements of the concept may not make it into the production version. Things like the carbon fiber cladding, or the 21-inch wheels, they are just too fancy for production ca that has to be priced competitively. Everything in the concept is designed to impress. But even if 50 percent of what we’re seeing here make it into production, the Infiniti Q30 will be car to take notice of.
“We wanted the spontaneous fluidity of the QX30 Concept design to cut through the urban clutter and rigidity, reflecting its go-anywhere and spur-of-the-moment nature,” said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director. “The QX30 Concept has been designed to make occupants feel safe and protected inside, and customers can drive in or out of the city without worrying about nicks to the chromework.”
