Hyundai is working on a facelift version of its popular mid-size sedan, the Elantra, and this is the first picture of it. We have to be honest, it is a very lazy job they have done, putting the face of the old Tucson on the 2016 Hyundai Elantra. But hey, it looks fresh, doesn’t it?

While the profile of the car seems to remain untouched in this leaked picture, the 2016 Hyundai Elantra gets all-new headlights and a huge hexagonal grille – two features found on almost all new Hyundai models. The Koreans have apparently looked Lexus and thought we need a massive grille as well, it seems to be what people want these days!

One would imagine the rear-end also gets a fairly substantial revision in terms of its apron design and the shape of the taillights. Subtle chrome work and new wheels are among the other new stuff we can discern in this picture, and it is only logical for the new Elantra to get a revised interior as well full of convenience and technology features.

This picture, according to the company’s officials, shows the Korean 2016 Hyundai Elantra. An all-new Elantra sedan is scheduled to be launch in the U.S. early next year to join the Elantra GT and it may look a bit different from what you see here.
