We went through a lot of teasers to see this, but the all-new Infiniti QX30 is finally here and isn’t it great! Granted, this is only a concept, but we have it on good authority the production version will look pretty similar to what you see here.

The idea behind the design of the Infiniti QX30 Concept is to combine the sleek lines of a coupe with the command sitting and all-wheel drive of a crossover. It is not an entirely new idea, but the QX30 sure is one of the better embodiments of it.

Of course, you may lose some of the cool design features of the concept in the production model, such as the 21-inch wheels made from three-dimensional milled aluminium and matte rubber material, satin chrome front bumper, and the sculpted skid plates at the back. But even if 50 percent of the concept makes it into the Infiniti QX30 you will be able to buy, cars like the Evoque and Mercedes GLK are in trouble.

“QX30 Concept foreshadows an entry in the premium compact segment that provides a stylish alternative to the existing offer in this segment,” said Roland Krueger, Infiniti President and CEO. “The vehicle embodies our conviction to give customers the freedom to go wherever they want, whenever they want – in a style that turns heads and makes a statement, in a way that expresses their individualized character.”
